Tried the demo yesterday. Got chased by the police in the 'complimentary Ferrari' and killed myself on the bike. I have to admit I quite enjoyed it, you get a good feeling of speed. I also tried NFS Carbon last night, but didn't like it very much, it seemed very 'arcade like' if that makes sense. Not sure that I would pay 30 or 40 quid for TDU though. I'll look on ebay and perhaps pick it up second hand.
its been MUCH improved since the demo, handling is way better for both cars and bikes and the grafix, sounds etc are all much better, the island is HUGE it takes an hour to go around (124 miles) on the fastest bike in the game at full throttle (220 mph) it really is hard to say in words how big and good this games is BUT its more about cruzing around than racing imo, of course you can race there loads to do.its just great fun with 5 or 6 of you just cruzing around the roads over taking all the A.I traffic etc. _________________

Yeah, I can see it being fun multiplayer, but that requires me to pay for a Gold membership which currently requires me to justify £40.00 for the privilege of gaming with my virtual buddies for 12 months.
Maybe I should just do a month at a time, for the amount I play, it might be the cheaper option.

Dave, damn fine offer of the 48 hour thing-thanks, I have one with my GoW special edition, but haven't used it yet. Probably best use it when I actually buy the full game, if the demo doesn't do it justice it will be best if I wait and put it to good use.
go rent it out for 2 nights and join me, stu, disterbed and convilement for a good session on it to see what you think,
and no its not like pgr3 its hard to explain, you have the whole island of Hawai to cruze around buying houses ,clothes,cars etc, you race to get the money, or do car delieverys take ppl shopping etc.go have a look at the website _________________
