Clubbing our funds together and renting a 64 man server?
This was suggested on our forums by some of the =WTE= guys. I've came here to post and ask the question. The fine details of the server can be worked out if we agree.

A bit of info for you though, we are all paid up on the 32 player server until december, so funds have already been paid in full.
We can however pay the extra and increase server size with multiplay.
A 64 player server is a possibility, but as another clan had asked we were not sure about potential issues, for example 2142 arriving shortly, and migrating the server over to it, you should discuss with your members and find the idea that best fits your clan.
My suggestion would be that we up it to a 64 player, and keep it running on one specific game type ie SF or BF2 permanently, with an agreed map rotation by both clans, with an equal number of server admins from each clan.
This should result in informal players adding the server to favourites and joining clans.
We raise server funds in a 6 month rotation, with requests for donations around 4-6 weeks before server payment due, this has resulted in the sever being available for a full 12 months for a investment of between
£50-70 from each member.
However, due to all the problems with BF2 recently I think all clans running servers are facing the same problem, free trial servers creating an abundence of empty servers, expensive server costs, and lack of players/members to fund it.
This has resulted in th 24/32/44 player severs remaining empty for long periods of time.
We currently have 7-8 members who admin the server at present.
I would suggest we split the costs 50/50 between the two clans and each raise our own half, and advertise the server as the WTE / Teamplay clan server, as I doubt your members would be interested in merging clans together.

hmm, it seems that tp are popular with other clans, I like that we must be doing something right .
for my two pence worth if it becomes an issue i would lean towards wte clan as we have known them the longest. lets just wait and see what happens though.
