Ive been reading that alot of the developers (in general) are getting worried because vista RC1 is still buggy and missing lots of necasarry apis. When I personally tested vista a while back it sucked ass and wiped my 200gb hdd  . Hopefully it will be fixed and all our favorite games will be released before then. One of my concerns is that some DX10 games will be held back as vista seems to get held back more and more

as to the dx 10 games when will you be able to afford a nice new dx10 card? (I would guess xmass 2007 sounds about right  ).

slotted in a nice 7600GT OC today, and the 6600GT went strainght in to my retro machine.
That will be it untill mid 2007 now for my system. |

ye i know but they are the best i think http://www.alienware.com/product_...1-7500-R3&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT thats the one i MIGHT be getting so , with 2 gb of ram instead of one and 2.5 terrabytes of space!

ive been ;looking at them to convilement but still not settled on which card to go for( bearing in mind that the new dx10 ati card is afew months away and so is the g80 from nvidia). might just get a 7600/7900 in the interim.
i'll see how much i can save in the mean time. |

currently got everything on BF2 set to max, and it is running sweet, no lag or judder, best 130 notes i have ever spent.
I reckon it is running as quick as a 7800 which is good enough for me. Nothing else i will be interested in over the next few months that this card cannot cope with at the moment. |

Since a few months I got a 7900GTX as a upgrade for my noisy 7800 GT. I am running 1600x1200 (all other resolutions are ** on a 20" TFT), but I even get framedrops @medium settings. I think my 3000+ Venice is guilty

your right you need more cpu muscle to get the best out of it. whats it like playing bf2 at that res? does it give you that warm feeling in your pants?
im still waiting to upgrade but its getting harder to resist...... |
