I have ordered my mic so that I can use teamspeak. I was just wondering before I get it what I need to do to be able to use teamspeak? It could be really easy but I have no idea.

I have nether used teampeak before so I just wanted to be "Clued up" about it.

Download, install.

On the day you get your mic plug it in and do a local test within the TS settings to make sure you can hear yourself and you're loud enough.

Lastly assign a PTT (push to talk) button.

All there is to it really.

It is easy to use and once you have filled in your username/password and our teamspeak IP,you can save it so when u open it again u just goto connect and pick teamplay and your on.

Or for 1st time users just install teamspeak and click on the link in the reserved/donations section of this forum in the thread called teamspeak ip, there should be a direct connect link then if u need further help get me or any others attention and im sure well get it working.

Thanks, I will give it a go when Amazon send it to me (before Friday hopefully).

I will be able to be part of a squad properly then, I always feel like the spare part when I can’t communicate with other people that i am playing with.

I chose this one, I bought it from Amazon as it was double the price at Play.com

i was a bit lucky really as I usually use play.com and I only found it afterwards Very Happy

one other thing, switch off the sound scheme in windows or you will get an annoying string of beeps when you talk (only applies when your not in game).

got my mic just going to see if i can get it working Very Happy

Got it working after a lot of fiddling. at first i found that the volume for the mic was set on very low in the windows settings. i thought that i had fixed it yet it still only picked up my voice only very slightly. in the end i plugged the mic into the back of my computer and for some reason it work, dont ask me why.
