BF patches always make me nervous, but whats the worst that can happen..... /me suddenly remembers patch 1.3 for BF2 and shudders 
21 meg, seems very small considering previous patches, but hopefully thats just less for them to break

Heh, I have a Fileplanet sub too, but Gamershell uses the full 3000kb/sec and doesn't make me install their crap installer program 
Testing it so far it seems good, quite a few ninja fixes as well. Not sure if Titans can still move, haven't had time to play on Titan long enough to see. |

Titan doesnt move but you have to go on a 5 or more round server or it crashes after each map change, not the server by the way,client just CTD and you have to restart the game.
EDIT: By the way a solution to CTD after patch is to delete all the folders/files in mydocuments/bf2142/mods/cache and also delete the following file attached to these which is found in the bf2142 folder in mydocuments called "iconentent.cache". Then re run the game and setup video options and such again to your liking and it may stop the crashes. |

Aye did that mate, fixed it for me so deffinately worth trying if anyone is CTD'ing after rounds. | ||

I dont play titan mode as a rule, but i have heard so much about the CTD issues now that i will crash deleting those files in case i happen to go into a Titan server.
You dont have to install the FilePlanet installer program to download files fast, i never have and never will as i like to keep a "clean" windows install as much as possible, if theres a UK mirror then you will always cap out your bandwidth. When you say gamershell uses the full 3000kb/sec i hope you dont mean you can pull that down, beacuase if you have a 25+ Mbit connection i am going to cry with jealousy

Yup, some of the 10mb NTL users have had their DL doubled to 20mb, during the day I see a fair bit more. The UL is still the regular poop and frankly I'd gladly stay at 10mb down for 2mb up. I must be doing something wrong with Fileplanet then as like you my OS is scrubbed clean to pinch out those last processor cycles and keep the disks running like new. However I still never break about 1000kb/sec on Fileplanet. Gamershell on the UK Zen server just caps day and night. |

i find gamers hell much better than file planet.(altough i dont have the same bandwidth as you chaps, a meager 4mb  )
