BF2142 patch updateNew bit from DICE......................
We are continuing our Beta Testing for the Battlefield 2142 1.05 update while adding further enhancements to our Master Server systems to help eliminate the disconnect issues affecting some players. These updates were introduced during Tuesdays maintenance and do not require any updating by players. As we move closer to the 1.05 release we are also stepping up our enforcement of policies against players who exploit the stats system.
With over 100 player accounts already wiped our support staff will continue to address the accounts of players who use exploit tactics to advance themselves. We will also be announcing policy changes regarding player cheating and stats exploit in the near future.
For all players who are interested in hosting their own Battlefield 2142 server the new Server Provider Page is now live. Please check out this page in order to easily locate a Ranked Server Provider in your region.

have to agree
been lucky and never had anyone taking advantage of any of the glitchs maybe the odd person getting points from ammo crates but never had anyone with over a score of 100
but for now will stick to conquest on our server

cheaters should get a life ban for all multiplayer games based upon their IP.

Personally I think they should have the account closed.
Key made invalid.
Stats wiped.
IP range banned through Punkbuster so ALL games that use PB ban these buggers.
Kill the EA account connected to 2142 which would likely kill any other games they play online.
Then we take it a step further, ban any other details used for the account, if they used EA Link to buy the game then kiss your credit card goodbye, ban those details from ever being used to buy online games again, same for address used to register. Sure some of these are easily gotten around by using a different card or putting in a different address, but it would still catch out most people on their next game purchase.
How does that sound?

they ban the mac adress and such so if they wanna play bf 2142 they have to buy a new pc

Mac address is held within the network adapter so a new one of these would get around that easily, as would using any router, but just as easily as the addresss/credit card fix.
The more hassle the better though haha.
