Back it goes!!!!!!!!Oh well my xbox 360 has decided to fail in a differnt way this time, the dvd drive no longer plays when it wants to, thinks every disc is a movie and when it does work the game crashes in a few mins or the drive turns into a grinder.
God damn useless manufacturers, qaulity control my arse.
i have a standard year guarantee which is until aprill this year on the receipt so the shop should take it back or ill hand them a trading standards letter as all electrical goods sold over excess a certain price have a 1 year return policy.
If this 3rd console fails i wil be not be paying the money to send it off and get some1 elses repaired console back, i will be using it as a oven for the rest of its life.
Dont get me wrong its a great console but has poor design and the the way its built lets it down.

definatley big cooling issues with the 360, got to say the DVD rom sounds like a fricking fighter jet also, where is the silent operation you get with most consoles!
very poor on the sound front, i like my consoles to be silent!

i agree but it is a brillent console but it does have flaws it was even on watch dog last week i think over the complants

It will be very interesting to see Sony's answer to Xbox Live.
I think that is what will make or break that console.

Oh well things get worse no exchange when still under year on receipt, probably they had too many back, i asked they wouldnt state why.
Gave me microsofts loyal customer service number to have a go at, after bla di bla bullshit trying to say if its my 3rd one iv done something wrong,then stating i may have to pay shipping and packaging, i put the phone down and am now sitting near a £300+ toaster oven.
So im not at all happy, parents will be phoned and hopefully my father who can be very argumentative at times may have to take it back to the shop and force them to exchange it due to the fact iv had 2 from them which both have faults withing 3 months each.

if you do manage to sort it out mate, i suggest you get ur money refunded and buy it elsewere or use a mates one for the meanwhile
odnt forget if its got a microsoft approval you might aswell bin it

dont accept any BS from them mate, if they try to screw you in the shop.
Explain you have had the console from launch, and have persevered despite everybody knowing of the overheating and premature failure of the machines.
If they still give you hastle, demand a full refund (it is your statutory right), also request the names of who have refused the refund replacement and then tell them you will be passing their names to trading standards, and writing a formal letter of complaint, stating their names to their head office.
-Watch them shit themselves and sort the problem out.
my advice would be to demand a refund anyway, and buy from another shop, this will give you another years warranty!

Well after contacting trading standards i am obliged to get it traded in, good thing is this can be done even when the item is out of warranty due to it been a new item each time, only thing is i have to wait a week due to the fact a letter has to be sent which legally has to be replied with in 7 days by the company or theyll be in trouble.
Also any cost regarding shipping if they wont exchange falls on their hands not mine hehe.

got a phonecall today from a manager at customer services main HMV office and they where confused on why i didnt get an explanation on why i couldnt get it exchanged even after it got tested not to work in the back store room.
So next week we have to go in and talk to the main manager who is asked to be in that week to see and hopefully it will be resolved.
amazing how they forget what happened when u saw them instore and then send a letter stating trading standards to them they all get pally.

no, the first xbox's that got released (from july 2005 i think) had overheating issues. i dunno wether disturbed is one of thos issued xbox's plus he has already sent it back once and they did not replace it with a new xbox
