My Problems other than that of ea is that on every map change my game crashes to desktop, can also take me 10-20 goes to acutally load one map i can play - hence why i only play server with single maps at mo.

Tried just about everything i can thing of, new hd, windows, driver, delete configs, software sound, no voip etc etc etc

the only thing it could possible be is that i use a radeon x800 xt graphics card, wasn't going to buy a new graphics card for a couple of months as then i am treating myself to a new system as waiting for the decent stuff to come out, anyway here my easy info and idea will be appriaciate and a current bun for the one who can fix it !!!!

that happened to me for a couple of days about a month or two ago but mever had anything like it since. (on bf 2142)

so if what happened to me is anything to go off it should end soon if not i have no idea

but dont get rid of that graphix card its class but if you have tryed everything else and you know its that just buy a cheapo graphix card that can just run the game and see if that works

You could download the system requirements lab from the EA site to see if there is something that you need but don't have.

Try to close additional programs in your taskbar.

End process everything "general"

nice one austin. git's sure to give your suggestions ago. don't think its the drivers due several uninstalls (manual/automatic) with clean up before re-install. (could be the card as his dvi no longer works but i doubt it as everything else(system/games) runs fine. when the missus aint looking 'ill swap my old x800 in for his and see if it makes any difference.

thanks but i have tried all of the above, it is loading a bit more frequency now for some unknown reason but still crashing a lot and always crashes on a map change, with abousltly no error messages

its proberly down to 2142 crap coding i cant even play it for more than 5 mins without it crashing back to the desktop but not really bothered about it

its just really annoying as i was going to give it a bit of a go for last week and this, also i forgot to bring my mic - doh !!!

Anyway after this week it maybe a couple before i am back on again -- i think it must be the coding as i have done everything i can think of - so hats off to EA for such a wonderful product - if i wrote shite code like that i would get sacked and not paid - refund anyone !!!

ps - is it me or noobs with c4 scripts are so annoying and tantless they really spoil some maps and i can only play 3 !!

i installed it tonight to give it another go myself (fjust reformated xp aswell) and as soon as the map loaded, band im staring at the desktop,

Git, have you tried the sledgehammer approach?

It's a hybrid of human, wood and metal combined with a large dose of frustration, courtesy of EA.

It might not get the game working, or your pc if you're really frustrated, but it should make you feel better afterwards Twisted Evil

did that once before and throw my specturm down the stairs all it was good for after that was using the keys as rubbers

i keep a supply of spare keyboards, rthe often get smashed to pieces when i get shafted by EA.
