After experiencing the disapearing of textures on FZ2 and the disc driving slowing down to re-read the data but results in a dis unreadable error i currently am in a pissed off mood.
Also if u hint over the phone to MS about the game it locks up on they may or may not tell you the game itself is part of the issue and turn 10 have to help solve it too.
Alot of people are having this problem iv read on the forza forums and after a few more lock ups or missing texture errors the console or disc drive may fail.
As this is my 3rd console im done if this goes and i have to pay for repairs,if i dont ill carryon and demand a free warranty,if i have to pay feck it bring on the ps3 which hasnt got a 60% failure rate.
This issue has gone to far,consoles been produced with faults,consoles made which arent capable of running the games coming out,updates which break the console,the list goes on and now it might be shitty cheap ass DVD drives which cant cope with running at high speeds.
So Dave beware if u get any freezes on this game or graphical faults it may be the end sometime soon for the console,the track most renound for this is silverstone,so any races u got on this track just pray it goes the whole length.
Im still goin to play the game even if my console breaks,the game disc if it becomes screwed by the drive has a 30day take back as they should so if that goes i can get a new one.
anything now i get with an MS label on it is goin to be FREE if they like it or not,money grabbing bastards.
Sorry for language but it is understandable after owning so many of the same console with a 4 months lifespan for each. _________________
Well i wouldnt bother as most of the display consoles in shops iv seen either crash or are not on,probably broken.
I dont understand why they havent acknowledged the failure rate and the fact the consoles cant cope with upcoming titles, its like theyve been waiting to see how well they deal with games then fix it later,like we are the testers but we have to pay to do it for them.
Iv had my PC for years and new game which come out which i didnt expect would run on this and i can play for hours on end without the DVD drive or graphics card deciding it will break,they im sure are using the cheapest components in vast amounts for these breakbox360's,its not on.
Weve had my brothers open and the way the GPU is placed in a small tin duct for cooling is pathetic and if u carefully remove the cover off the gpu it has hardly and cooling compound and if u run the thing open with no case on im sure u wouldnt need a BBQ in the backyard.
All this time MS have built stuff and they dont understand expansion and contraction on things with a shit cooling system will cause problems.
Also the DVD drives have a varied number of makers like benq and samsung but all the same overall design but if u look at one compared to a PC one its quite a surprise,damn 80% or more is plastic and the laser slider i wouldnt trust at all.
Ah well im ranting ,hehe release stress of the upcoming three red lights of death or another drive down the drain. _________________
Well the current thing is ps3 lacks the games atm but the reliability and performance of it make it great,until there is a major flaw found with it in the comin months which i doubt than they may overtake MS with how its performing.
Also the ps3 in manufacture has cost far more than the 360 and even though they sell it for alot they are still losing out on costs for its production rate. _________________
Thats true , its a wait and see for the good ps3 games to come out, Id suggest to hold off buying any console untill a couple decent games are out and price has dropped which shood not be too far off
