Got this today, went halfs with my bro on price and i can say its money well spent indeed, fast paced cover to cover fighting locusts and the gore is in your face,i mean it,get your chainsaw on your gun revved up and take it to em and your screen turns red.
Game is in 3rd person with a button to go into aim mode so u get a reticle, theres varied weapons from pistols to grenade launchers.

If u like shoot em up games this is one to get as iv just come off it but i had to draw myself away. Very Happy

ahh, there should be an 18+ version of BF2142 with all the gore, guts and blood you can handle, would be much more fun if limbs went flying as well as bodies!

I might get it but I don't like the idea of paying £50 for just One Piece of software does anyone else feel the same?

Beginning to get pissed, seems they left a few bugs in like the way a monster only able to be killed by doing certain things can run across a 2 mile gap of thin air to get to you when u press a switch to de couple a train car,its like it can run on thin air.tried it several times and switched it off, always a bugshit part to every game.

Not at all, I gladly buy all my software and generally shop around to find the best prices. Rarely have I paid over 30-35 for any game and I pay this gladly.

I like gaming, I want there to be a future for it so buying good games is worth every penny, inevitably I'll play it again in 6-12 months too.

GoW is absolutely fantastic. The game mechanic works perfectly 90% of the time. Shooting Locust and seeing pounds of flesh fly of is sickenly satisfying, chainsawing them only magnifies that tenfold.

Not experienced any bugs while playing personally. My only complaint is the total and utter lack of story, if you want to know wtf is going on you have to read the manual, while this is no true hardship I wouldn't have minded some cutscenes in game or perhaps some FMV sliced in. I can live without it, but i'd rather live with it.

No cutscenes? that's a shame. I thought ater all the wait there would have been some blinding storytelling going on. Still all that said, I'll pick it up over Christmas, maybe second hand from someone who got bored of it after 2 days!

My wife picked this up for me yesterday. I gave her Ghost Recon to chop in and she came back with the Special Edition in the tin. It was a pre-owned one but I've never seen one in such good condition, the books were untouched and it even had the free 24 hour Live trial card intact! All for the bargain price of 27 quid with the trade-in. In true wife 'power trip' style though, she is denying me until the fat guy has been. I decided to humour her and agreed, but I managed to blag 10 minutes on it as an excuse to make sure it worked, and it looks good. After Christmas dinner there will be blood, oh yes, there will be much blood....and maybe some chocolate too.
