Well my 360 has decided to not work properly,tried al the troubleshooting the manual offers like reconnecting leads and HD but i either get 3 flashing red lights or the screen freezes with fuzzy lins on it, some thing internal gone i think.
Do you think HMV will swap it for a new one due to me having it only 4 months.Usually get 1 years return on electrical items and due to microshite getting many faulty ones back i think they might.

yes your entilted to a new console they will kick up but you kick up harder but you might have to give you hard drive back aswell but see if you can keep it if not its send of to microsoft for a replacement but still youll lose your hd Mad

Well hopefully when i take it back ill take my Father along to use force if needed,but i hope a nice person is available to let me keep my hardrive and just take the new one out the replacement.

Also im wiery on actually keeping the thing,might just ge a full refund, reason is been reading lots of forums on 360 faults and the like and it seems MS may not have tested them extensively with games been released for it,simple fact is the console cant handle the games.

Dead rising has killed many consoles due to it using all the cores, Saints row which i was on the time of the crash and reoccuring death of my 360 is another which many people have found their xbox's to crash and die on.

If it carries on i think MS will be held liable to making unfit for use goods,som cases already in america have won over the fail rate of the consoles,one guy has had more than 5 consoles.

You will be covered my the manufacturers standard 1 year warranty. With a big company like HMV I would expect them to take it back and replace it. If you get any aggro with them just start mentioning things like 'not fit for purpose' and 'sub standard merchantable quality'. If all else fails, contact your local Trading Standards Office, I would imagine they will have dealt with this before because these things have been breaking since they first came out. So far, mine is still going strong but it doesn't get loads of use.

millions of these have been sold around the world you only hear a very few ppl on the forums like anything new it will have faults Microsoft have already said that if your console was made before the 4th of jan the you can get a replacment due to a faulty chip they have changed manufatuars since then

I think its the fact im a constant gamer,i used it alot, over 8 hours straight sometimes , downloading content then on different games, the normal xbox could stay on for days at a time playing games without problems.

Well anyway parents are off to HMV now before they get to work to see what they say,i told them to say that microsoft said it was best to ask them first before i had to fork out 100 pound to send it away to them,i hope they understand im not keeping a £300 paperweight.

Oh yes Hamms give us yah gamertag like Dave said, we need more consolers Smile

Gamertag is Hamelin strangely enough, although I don't pay for xbox live currently so no online play for me yet.

I mainly play demos and the only game I have bought so far is GRAW. Im waiting for Gears of War and Bioshock at the mo though, they both look a little bit spesh.

Im surprised how hot the units get,no wonder they break,too much heat over time dires out the components and chips resulting in a breakdown,if u have one just run your hand around the back where the AV and power cable is,you could possible get a baking tray and place it their for ready meals.
